About 100 miles (160 kilometers) away from the national park is Buôn Ma Thuôt, which is a key transit hub for the region and hence easily accessible from larger cities like Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

 

The closest town outside the park that is connected to Buôn Ma Thuôt via bus is Gia Nghia. Visitors who are simply in town for the day can also choose from a variety of hotel options in Tà Dùng. The trip from Gia Nghia to the front gate takes around an hour by car.

 

There may be a small number of tour companies offering transportation services in Gia Nghia. Ta Dung National Park's service center is staffed by many local guides, so vacationers who are unable to book a trip to Gia Nghia need not worry.

Surprisingly, the best time to visit Tà Dùng is immediately following the rainy season, when the lake is full and the colors are at their most vibrant.
