Day 1: Ho Chi Minh Airport – City Tour Pick up at Ho Chi Minh airport/ your hotel then departing from your hotel to Jade emperor pagoda built in the 19th century and is one of the oldest temples in the city. Visiting Ben Thanh market,War Remnants Museum - originally opened in September 1975; it displays old military equipment and other related items from Vietnam War. Afterward, continuing seeing the Reunification Palace, formerly known as the Presidential Palace. The place symbolizes the end of Vietnam War when a North Vietnamese army tank went through its gates. Then taking a short stroll to see Notre Dame Cathedral and General Post Office, they are the beautiful examples of architecture from the French colonial period. Day 2 : Cu Chi Tunnel & Temple of Cao Dai Start the tour at 7h30 am for the Cu Chi tunnel first. Located about 60 km to Northwest Saigon, Cu Chi tunnel is the miniature of the creative and transformed battle of Cuchi people and soldiers in the fierce fight, lasting for 30 years against the aggressors for independence,freedom of the country.
which is a must-visit spot in Vietnam. From the peaceful temple, we head into the war zone, where you will find clever uses for trap doors, and a fascinating example of guerilla warfare. This area was never conquered by American troops, even after massive bombing raids and 30,000 troops entering! You will have the chance to crawl around the portion of the tunnel and see how thousands of guerillas managed to stay underground for days at a time. If you want, you can even try your hand and fire a real life AK! We head to Tay Ninh Province to visit Cao Dai Temple and attend a morning Caodaism ritual praying. The Temple with its ceremonies is a unique example of the combination of the Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Christianity and Islam. We will arrive back in Ho Chi Minh City around 5h30 pm. Day 3 : Mekong delta Tour (My Tho & Ben Tre) 8h30 am start to leave from your hotel. On the way to Mekong, you will see peaceful landscape along two sides of road, that’s a picture of rice field, working hard farmers, many straggling tombs on fields,.... We will visit Vinh Trang pagoda – a national historical and cultural relic. The architecture of Vinh Trang Pagoda is a harmonious combination of Asian and European types of architecture. After Vinh Trang pagoda, we will take a leisurely boat ride along the river, view the stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank. The boat will proceed to Tortoise islet – a beautiful natural spot, ideal for a short trek through some winding trails. We have lunch in the orchard garden. Then, we continue to take a boat ride to Ben Tre island – a less touristy attraction in Ben Tre. Here, we will experience cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shadow of the water coconut trees along natural canals. And we also enjoy seasonal fruit and honey tea and listen to the sound of Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by locals. The next place we will visit is a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle. Here, we will have the chance to taste the delicious coconut candy, observe the pastoral life as you wander through the fruit plantation and village. At noon, you’ll have a chance to enjoy real flavor cuisine of South – Western region that nowhere gets this on one of four famous islet: spring roll, vegetable roll with elephant ear fish. Get back your hotel at 5h00 pm. Day 4 : Can Gio Mangrove Forest Tour Can Gio is a low palm-fringed island sitting at the mouth of the Saigon River, some 25 km Southeast of Ho Chi Minh City. The mangroves forest in Can Gio possesses a high biodiversity with more than 200 species of fauna and 52 species of flora. The effects of the recent wars on these ecosystems have been devastating and large efforts have been made by local people to rehabilitate the mangroves. Today, it has become one of the most extensive sites of rehabilitated mangroves in the world. The island, which is at the intersection between the Saigon River and the sea, was created by silt washing downstream. It’s hard-packed mud rather than sandy beach, so attracts few visitors and the area remains entirely undeveloped.
08.00 ~ 08.15 am: our tour guide pick you up at your hotel and head to Can Gio, also be known as “Monkey Island”. On arrival, we visit mangrove forest to see over 100 monkeys, living there, you also can feed and take photos with many monkeys surrounding and climbing on your shoulder. Continue with a short walk to alligator farm, where local people conserve many huge alligators from the “American war” and you can try “alligator fishing” (optional). Then take speed boats to “Sac” guerilla camp built in deep jungle. Today the camp has become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what jungle life in the war must have been like. We will then stop at local seafood market selling various kinds of fresh seafood regarding octopus, lobster, ray, etc and dried foods. There, enjoy a welcome drink (sugar cane juice) before having Vietnamese style lunch at a beach resort, where we are at leisure for swimming and sight-seeing. Before heading back to Saigon, we visit a nearby house of local people, then walking through their mango gardens and tasting fresh mangoes. Finally, we transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city & the tour ends at approximately 5:30 pm.
