High season is April to July. From late August till November, rains are frequent, and from December to March it can get chilly.
A trip to central Vietnam cannot be perfect without a stop-over at Lang Co Bay, which lies between Da Nang and Hue cities on the central coast. Visitors flock to Lang Co beach to seek for a wonderful landscape created by both nature and humans.

Lap An is an ideal place for photographers and explorers. The best time to visit the lagoon is at dusk.

The natural complex of Lang Co Bay, Lap An and Cau Hai lagoons has been regarded as one of the most beautiful destinations in Southeast Asia. It is home to 11,000 local people who earn their livings by catching and farming fish, as well as providing tourism services.

In addition, visitors to Lang Co Bay area for its cool climate of around 25 degrees Celsius, especially in summer when heat waves normally hit the central region.

Particularly, what really makes Lang Co bay special is its close proximity to four Vietnam’s World Heritage Sites, including the ancient citadel of Hue, Hoi An ancient town, My Son Sanctuary and Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park. All of which are within a radius of 150 kilometers. Also, Lang Co is near Hai Van Pass with spectacular scenery and the harmonious beauty of the clouds, mountains and sea and the national park of Bach Ma.
A cluster of five hills made from limestone and marble, Marble Mountains are a well-known pilgrimage site with peaks, caves, tunnels and temples all just waiting to be discovered. Named after the elements metal, wood, water, fire and earth, Marble Mountains exist in a coastal area that is renowned for stone-cutting and sculpture about 9km south of Danang.

The caves within the mountains hold many secrets including bullet holes from when troops used to spy on the US soldiers relaxing on My Khe Beach below and buildings standing within the caves and grottoes.

There are also a host of Buddhist sanctuaries and places of worship dotted across the mountains which are a much-visited spiritual site. There are many pagoda temples and even a special circular cave featuring a chimney leading to the summit with spectacular panoramic views.

Elephant swamp here is natural lake with 30m2 of area that locates between 2 waterfalls. There are a lot of rocks in bottom of the springs so be careful with them.
The civilians live here supplying visitors with rented cabins and food, especially Kieng Chicken – a speciality in Elephant Springs. The price for a chicken is about 300.000vnd.

How to get there: take Highway One south out of Hue, and keep an eye on the mile markers along the road. When you get to the one that says Danang 52km you're there (coming from the other direction, it says P. Bai 44km). Take a right and follow the road across the stream to the springs (resist taking a left across the big bridge -- go straight and the road veers left over the stream.) Admission is free, plus 5,000 VND to park your motorbike. 
Entrance fee: 10.000vnd/person and 4.000vnd of insurance/person.
